Hello October!
Unsurprisingly, as a bat biologist, Halloween and spooky things are among my favorite things. Which is extra great, because October is officially “Bat Appreciation Month” – a whole month to learn and appreciate the amazing bat.
In the spirit of the month, I’m going to be taking some breaks from dissertation writing to share some fun bat facts and info here, so keep an eye out for new content.
In the meantime, you can check out the #31BatsOfHalloween, featuring a different bat species for each day of Halloween month!
And don’t forget to check out the resources at BatWeek.org. While Bat Week is officially October 24 – 31, they’ve got great information and suggestions for activities all month long.
Stay batty!
